    Als sich der Wettlauf um Nordwestpassage und Nordpol im frühen 20. Jahrhundert verschärfte, suchte die dänische Administration Grönlands nach Verbündeten. Als Zulieferer kolonialen Wissens rekrutierte sie Schweizer Naturforscher, die sich ihrerseits als nationale Polarhelden vermarkteten. An welche Auflagen waren die Forschungsreisenden aus der Schweiz in der Arktis gebunden? Wie kontrollierte die dänische Handelsgesellschaft den Kontakt der Außenseiter zur lokalen Bevölkerung, den Inuit? Wer finanzierte die Expeditionen?     Export search results
