dc.description.abstract | Franz Köchers standard work on Babylonian and Assyrian medicine, which was designed to provide copies of the texts with translation and commentary, had remained unfinished at his death in 2002. Six volumes of transcriptions with short introductory comments and quotes of parallels and duplicates were available. The publication of the series is now continued with Robert Biggs and Marten Stol as new publishers. The new volumes contain complete translations and philological commentary, making current Babylonian-Assyrian medical texts accessible to medical historians.
