    Abstract
    Quebec - the Quiet Revolution - French Canada
     
    Depuis 1960, les relations entre le Québec et la francophonie canadienne n’ont pas cessé de s’effriter. En fait, la Révolution tranquille a apporté dans son sillage le renouvellement du discours identitaire au Canada français. Marcel Martel nous livre ici une fascinante étude historique et politique des rapports entre ces communautés de 1867 à 1975, année précédent l’élection du Parti Québécois. Faisant l’étude de quelques-uns des principaux catalyseurs tels l’Ordre de Jacques-Cartier, le Conseil de la vie française en Amérique, l’Association canadienne-française d’éducation de l’Ontario, le Deuxième Congrès de la langue française et le États généraux du Canada français, il démontre comment le projet de nation canadienne-française s’est transformé au fil des ans. Il identifie aussi les causes qui ont amené les communautés francophones minoritaires à se méfier de l’intervention de l’État québécois.

    Export search results
