        Abstract
Ernst von Glasersfeld became known with his research on concept analysis, the development of “Yerkish” – a machine-aided language to communicate with chimpanzees – and also his plywood computer. What made him famous was his concept of radical constructivism. It is effectively the pivotal point of the diverse responses and processes of reception. The present volume incorporates selected writings of Ernst von Glasersfeld, the speeches given at his honorary doctorate award ceremony at the University of Innsbruck, research articles on his work as well as an interview with the cosmopolitan philosopher and epistemologist.
