oapen.abstract.otherlanguageStarting from XVII century many works were written with the aim to emphasizing the figure of Atto, a Vallumbrosan monk and bishop of Pistoia, canonized in 1605 thanks to the involvement of the Vallumbrosan order and the Pistoia Church. These works are biographies of the saint, volumes of religious history and ecclesiastical memorials and handwritten and iconographic testimonies that continue in the following centuries and mainly in the ecclesiastical culture of the Nineteenth-twentieth century.
