oapen.abstract.otherlanguageThe solidarity pact constitutes one of the main justifications of the social pact and establishes the relationship of sharing in public costs between the state and the citizen, for this reason its philosophical and legal origins will be examined. In particular, the theories that justify this social contract are analysed, starting from Rawl's neo-contractualism and his theory of social justice, highlighting some limits of rawlsian rationalist realism, to identify a further justification, beyond the formalism of the veil of ignorance.
