Der vorliegende Sammelband thematisiert Bildungsprozesse aus einer transnationalen Perspektive, aus der heraus Europa eine doppelte Funktion hat: Einerseits bilden die von der Europäischen Union implementierten Steuerungsstrukturen einen Rahmen für Erziehungs- und Bildungsprozesse im Staatenverbund sowie darüber hinaus. Andererseits bringt die Teilhabe an formalen, non-formalen und informellen Lehr-/Lernangeboten europäische Bildungs-, Erziehungs- und Sozialisationsprozesse hervor.
