        Abstract
        Konrad Adenauer und Ernst Reuter gehörten zu den prägenden Persönlichkeiten des politischen Neuanfangs in Deutschland. Die beiden verband ein kompliziertes Verhältnis. Auf der einen Seite waren sie Rivalen, die vor allem in Fragen der Wiedervereinigungs- und der Berlinpolitik sehr unterschiedliche Prioritäten setzten. Auf der anderen Seite standen sie sich trotz zahlreicher Differenzen in wichtigen grundsätzlichen Überzeugungen oft näher als ihre jeweiligen Parteien. Jürgen Peter Schmied zeichnet die Lebenswege Adenauers und Reuters nach. Er beleuchtet ihre politischen Positionen nach dem Ende des Zweiten Weltkrieges und geht auf das wechselseitige Kräfteverhältnis ein, das auch den persönlichen Umgang der beiden Politiker miteinander bestimmte.

        Export search results
