        Abstract
This anthology explores how the Bible is used and interpreted by different contexts – from Hollywood to the Frankfurt Marathon, from the classroom to the church, and from the Babylonian exile to the present day. The book is interdisciplinary, providing insight into some of the vast scope of the Bible’s use in various communities and social contexts. The anthology is written for anyone interested in the Bible and biblical hermeneutics from both historical and contemporary perspectives. Its contributors are scholars specializing in the fields of theology, biblical studies, religious studies, and literary studies. This book will be of particular interest to researchers and students in the fields of theology, religious studies, cultural history, and literary studies.
