EnglishAbstract
This Oxford Compendium of Hope offers the most wide-ranging interdisciplinary introduction to hope research. Recognizing the importance of hope as a foundational human drive and noting the recent upsurge of attention to hope in both popular and scholarly discourses, it documents the state of research on hope across 14 disciplines and 12 content areas. Furthermore, it provides a historical context for the study of hope and contains an anthology of seminal writings on hope. Effort has been invested to reach a significant degree of integration between the chapters, setting the stage for future integrative, interdisciplinary research into hope; the Conclusion provides a future research agenda.
