    Toulouse-Lautrecs Plakate, fotografische Porträts und die Darstellung von Bewegung im Bild

    Abstract
    Die Plakate des französischen Künstlers Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec vermitteln in besonderer Weise die Atmosphäre der Tanzauftritte in den Pariser Vergnügungslokalen des ausgehenden 19. Jahrhunderts. In die Plakatgestaltung bezieht der Maler und Grafiker die Ästhetik der Tanzstile, die Bildsprache der Lithografie sowie existierende fotografische Tänzer:innenporträts ein. Svenja Ludwig untersucht die wechselseitige Beziehung zwischen Tanz, Lithografie und Fotografie mit Blick auf die Darstellungsmöglichkeiten des ephemeren Tanzes, die kulturelle Praxis der Bilder und den künstlerischen Status von Plakaten und Fotografien und eröffnet damit einen neuen Zugang zum Werk Toulouse-Lautrecs.

    Export search results
