Abstract
The object of any kind of transfer determines the dynamics of a process that leads to transformation. Therefore the validity and applicability of existing theoretical and methodological tools must be questioned constantly. Cultural transfer can be seen as a polydirectional and translational process and the challenges arising from this will be examined with regard to Spanish-speaking cultures. The format chosen in this volume aims to represent the dynamic exchange of the contributors and to encourage further reflection on the theoretical and methodological concepts relevant for describing processes of cultural transfer.
