        Abstract
The book offers an articulated picture of the challenges and opportunities of school inclusion. Starting from a broad and inclusive epistemological framework, the authors delve into the crucial role of Pedagogy and Special Education for the design and construction of inclusive contexts and for guaranteeing cultural accessibility for everyone, with particular attention to people with intellectual disabilities. Through dialogue with the school context and the creation of innovative didactic paths, strategies, and practices are outlined to transform the didactic design into an authentic tool for inclusion and valorization of diversity and differences. Specifically, it is through “I quaderni di Valeria” that the reader will interface with a concrete and participatory didactic proposal. It is intended for teachers, support specialists, students in training, and professionals in the field, and serves as an important testament to the role of Pedagogy and Special Education in promoting inclusion.
