        Abstract
The revised text of a lecture held in 2022 on the history of the Mennonite Central Committee and the Mennonitische Umsiedler Betreuung, especially on their relief work in Europe. Included are subjects as the Mennonite Famine Relief Program in Russia after World War I; the War Sufferer’s Relief Program during and following World War II; the resettlement of Russian and Danzig Mennonite refugees, and the relief work for the dispersed Mennonites in Siberia after their banishment to Siberia. The author was involved with these two organizations and the Dutch Mennonite Stichting voor Bijzondere Noden (BN).
