Chapter Simone Weil: lavoro operaio, tempo libero e attenzione
Abstract
The article analyzes the evolution of Simone Weil's thought on work, free time and attention, from the factory experience of 1934-35, to the last writings following the author's mystical turning point. A picture emerges in which the attention, forcedly required in mechanical work, becomes, as long as it is intentionally exercised, the junction point between "humanized" work and leisure time activities.
