    Abstract
    Depois de um mítico encontro no Tejo com vários internacionalistas espanhóis, em 1872 José Fontana e Antero de Quental estiveram envolvidos na fundação de uma federação de associações de resistência que organizaram o primeiro surto grevista em Portugal - a então designada Associação Fraternidade Operária. Este livro nasceu da necessidade de fazer um balanço historiográfico pelos 150 anos da criação deste movimento e de retomar a nível historiográfico as sinergias ibéricas que estiveram presentes nos movimentos operários e populares do século XIX. Ele é o resultado de três encontros promovidos através de uma parceria entre o Instituto de História Contemporânea (IHC — NOVA FCSH / IN2PAST), a Câmara Municipal de Lisboa, a Câmara Municipal de Vila Nova de Famalicão e a Câmara Municipal de Lagoa, no quadro do Programa de História na Esfera Pública do IHC.

    Export search results
