Do literature and exhibitions go together? Definitely — as this volume demonstrates from both theoretical and practical perspectives. Literature exhibitions establish relationships with literature. They offer insights into texts, contexts, and backgrounds. When it comes to the specific contribution of such exhibitions to literary mediation, literary-aesthetic learning, and literary socialization, different disciplines provide different answers. This volume therefore explores the question from a transdisciplinary perspective. Contributions from curatorial theory and practice, scenography, museum practice, and literary mediation, as well as from medieval studies, literary and media studies, and didactics, are brought together here for the first time in a dialogue centered concretely on the subject. The result is a panorama of new perspectives on the format of the literature exhibition.
