    Abstract
This publication is devoted to the issue of the German minority in the Opole Voivodeship, which was dealt with in the social, cultural, economic dimension as well as the subjective evaluation of the members of this group. The empirical study’s context was determined by the dominant Polish culture within which the German minority functions. The book combines the "classical perspective" of research on the largest national minority in Poland (the issue of culture and identity) with its "dynamic" dimension (relations with the social environment, entrepreneurial ethics, civic involvement). As a result of this combination, we obtained a comprehensive picture of self-identification of the German minority representatives, filling a gap in the literature on the subject.
