        Abstract
The contributions in this anthology take a praxeological perspective on the historical dynamics surrounding the emergence, organisation and transformation of school subjects. The focus is therefore primarily on the materialities of teaching, e.g. teaching materials, teaching media and the mode of dealing with knowledge - knowledge practices that make up the specialised nature of school subjects.
