    Abstract
    Während der ägyptischen Revolution im Jahr 2011 stießen Grabräuber auf mehrere der Forschung bis dato unbekannte Felsgräber in Assuan, unweit der weltberühmten Felsnekropole Qubbet el-Hawa. Seit 2015 forscht ein Team des Berliner Ägyptischen Museums und Papyrussammlung mit ägyptischen Kollegen aus dem Inspektorat in Assuan auf der neuentdeckten Qubbet el-Hawa Nord. Bislang konnten zehn Gräber ausgegraben und dokumentiert werden, die in das Alte und Neue Reich zu datieren sind. Sie sind Teil eines bislang unbekannten Elitefriedhofs der Siedlung(en) im Großraum Assuan. Im Band sind die aktuellen Forschungsergebnisse von bislang sieben erfolgten Grabungskampagnen versammelt. Gleichzeitig wird gezeigt, wie wichtig die Bemühungen aller Beteiligten sind, dieses einzigartige Stück Kulturgeschichte zu erforschen und für kommende Generationen zu erhalten.

    Export search results
