    Abstract
This dissertation analyzes the development of pre-service teachers' competences in the area of inclusive translingual instruction. It gives equal consideration to the multilingual repertoires of pupils, alongside German as the language of schooling, thereby avoiding the often still prevailing deficitoriented view of multilingualism. The results offer valuable insights for educational practice and are aimed at individuals who deal with the language dimension in educational settings.
